She asks:

Looking for a particular book. Looking for a friends to lovers romance. He’s a firefighter.

The MMC and FMC are best friends and they are very close and affectionate, but they haven’t taken the next step. They talk at night. She even tells him she loves him every night on the phone, but he never says it back.

He’s a firefighter and one day they lose one of their female firefighters on the job. He is very distraught and angry with the FMC. He yells at her and says very cruel things to her. He then leaves town for a while. She’s devastated.

He eventually comes back and finds out that she is on a date and he tries to sabotage the date. From there, there’s a lot of groveling and trying to make up to her and prove to her that he really loves her.

This was part of a series.  There was another book in the series about one of his fire fighter friends who lost his girlfriend /close friend in the fire mentioned above.  His book was pretty good also.
