Elaine needs our book help! YES YES YES!!! I LOVE this trope… she’s the “other woman” but she doesn’t know until it’s too late and she’s in love. WHAT. HEARTBREAK & BETRAYAL for both women!!!!

I’m here again with another query that you or your followers (which I’m now one too!) may be able to help me with?

I am searching for Mafia book, this story has the 2nd in command being asked to marry the senator’s daughter. He says he’ll do it, takes her shopping and falls in love with the woman assistant in the lingerie shop. The assistant thinks he is a bodyguard and goes out with him.

They become close, I think they share an apartment all while he is engaged to the other woman. He gets married and then his actual love finds out because it is all over the local papers.

The fiancee finds out and is deadly jealous creating all kinds of nastiness towards the other woman, who remains oblivious until she sees the wedding reported in the local paper. She is devastated and leaves.

I can’t remember any more of the plot but I remember it being very angst and hurtful for the other woman. Any ideas for the name of the book, I would love to read it again!

I have begun to write down everything I read, well almost (eek!) sometimes I don’t have my notebook anywhere near, so some are not recorded!
