RE: Surprise pregnancy. Widower. Hero doesn’t want kids.
I did love this book and I’ve been looking for this one for the last two years. I’m not an english speaker, but I’ll do my best.
This book has a surprise pregnancy trope. I do love this trope… A LOT.
The thing is that hero, because of his past ( I think he is a widower and lost a child ?? Not really sure) doesn’t want to have children. However he still takes responsibility over the baby, so he moves the heroine into his house.
And even when he doesn’t want to, he ends up falling really hard for the heroine but he still doesn’t want the kid. So he makes a proposition to the heroine: they will be together (have a relationship) and he will pay for the baby expenses, they all live together, but he won’t be a father for the baby, won’t be emotionally involved.
A really complicated situation, and the heroine after while, she finally agrees because she is so in love with the hero and tries her best to still be for the hero as his woman, and also be a mom. The hero is very clear about not being left out once that baby is born, that he will still be her number one.
It was really heartbreaking to read the heroine go through this.
But one day the baby is crying a lot and the heroine is not around, or not listening. I can’t remember. And after a while the hero finally goes to his baby’s room and when he sees his baby, uffff, he just felt remorse, and so much love. I think he started crying???
That’s all i can remember. Hope you can help me. I really love this story and as I said, I love surprise pregnancy trope.
Anyone have a guess?
